Dear Ms Izuzquiza, We refer to your e-mail dated 3 May 2019 in which you make a request for access to documents, which was registered on 6 May 2019 under reference number ACER-IN/2019/AtD/0501.. We regret to inform you that no documents were found that would correspond to the description given in your application. Indeed, as specified in Article 2(3) of Regulation 1049/2001, the right of access as defined in that regulation applies only to existing documents in the possession of the institution. Given that no such documents have been identified, the Agency is not in a position to handle your request. Still, I can provide with the following information that should be sufficient to address your request: For the years 2017, 2018 and 2019: - any and all documents that contain the number of staff in your Transparency Unit (or the department dealing with access to EU documents requests) - this could be, for instance, organigrams or staffing plans that are specific to that unit; The Agency has limited human resources. In light of that the Agency does not have a Transparency Unit. It is equipped with a non-full time Access to Document Coordinator and five non-full time access to documents officers, one per Department of the Agency. The first has a role of coordinator while access to documents applications are handled at department level. The Agency has also a full time Communication officer and an assistant. - any and all documents containing the budget for your Transparency Unit (or the department dealing with access to EU documents requests); I would appreciate the most detailed version of this budget possible. The documents that you seek are not present. There is not a dedicated budget for the Transparency Unit. Communication and Transparency is realised at Department level under the obligations stemming from Article 10 of Regulation (EC) No 713/2009. The overall budget for Stakeholder Involvement, Public Relations & Website, with whom the Agency complies with its transparency duties are EUR 158,500.
