next meeting of its Legal Affairs Commission (29-30 September 2022). One of the agenda items on which we would like to focus on this occasion is Child rights package: Legislation to effectively tackle child sexual abuse & European strategy for a better internet for children. We would be pleased to benefit from a presentation and exchange with the European Commission, highlighting the main components and implications of the initiative. Therefore, we would be delighted if you or a member of your Unit were to accept our cordial invitation to participate to this meeting. The agenda item would be scheduled on 29 September 2022, from 10.15 until 11.30 a.m. Your presentation would cover (maximum) 15 minutes. Please note that we are also trying to secure a contribution from an academic speaker and that there will also be a short intervention from one of our members from the national perspective. This would be followed by an exchange. The meeting will take place with physical presence of participants at the COMECE premises. Our Legal Affairs Commission is composed of lay jurists appointed by a number of Catholic Bishops' Conferences based in EU Member States. Around 20 persons attend its meetings, which are not open to the public and are held in English under Chatham House Rule. We are pleased to have a long-standing tradition of high-quality contributions of European Commission representatives to these meetings, also as an element of concrete implementation of Article 17.3 TFEU Dialogue. While thanking you for your kind attention, I look forward to your feedback.
