“Invitation for industry to showcase Automated Document Inspection Systems (DIS) for first-line use

In occasion of the formal launch of an operational Expert Group on Document Control, the Air Border
Sector of the Joint Operation Unit with the support of the Research and Development Unit invites
developers/vendors of automated document inspection systems (for first line use) to showcase their
products (stationary, mobile or handheld) in the afternoon of 18 May 2017 at Frontex Headquarters,
in Warsaw, Poland.

The objective of the event is to provide an informal platform to demonstrate current technology
capabilities in the field of document inspection in the first line of border control.

Participants will be advanced level document officers and specialised document experts from border
guard authorities and document expert units from EU Member States and Schengen Associated
Countries as well as Frontex staff.

To showcase, please register by 31.03.2017, rdu-technology-assessment@frontex.europa.eu, with the
subject “Invitation for industry to showcase Automated Document Inspection Systems (DIS) for first-
line use”, providing information also about the equipment you will be showcasing.

 

Attendance capacity is limited, invitations will be determined on a strict first come, first served basis
so in order to avoid disappointment you should express your interest as soon as possible. 6 to 10
companies will be selected for the mentioned event. The companies’ representatives must cover by
themselves the costs related to their participation.
