Responsible Sourcing in Canada and Abroad  Canadian stakeholders are active in work to increase transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain, responding to consumer concerns & interest among manufacturers to demonstrate responsibly sourced materials.  MAC’s TSM is a framework for sustainable mining that is mandatory for MAC members operating in Canada.  At home, the Government is developing a strong legal and regulatory framework, positioning Canada as a responsible source of supply & a trusted trade ally.  Internationally, the Government works bilaterally to develop the capacity of host country governments in sustainable development, in concert with technical assistance provided by Canadian non-governmental organizations (e.g., IMPACT, CIRDI, IGF) and with MAC’s international strategy for TSM.
