He is interested in getting timely feedback on any difficulties or challenges that the European Commission might have with Microsoft products or services. Microsoft is moving in much faster pace on delivery. The company is focusing on four big new trends: Cloud, Social, Mobile and Data Analytics. Security is another major priority. Microsoft has renewed its Government Security Program. Interested parties will be able to review the source code of Microsoft products in a secure environment. Microsoft has set up Digital Crimes Unit, which is a team of international legal and technical experts employing the latest tools and technologies to stop or interfere with cybercrime and cyber threats. also underlined that Microsoft attaches high important to data privacy (Microsoft has refused to the US state to hand over private data based in a data centre in Ireland). Microsoft also works with a number of governments on big data initiatives. Microsoft is willing to share experience and knowledge in common areas of interest like Security and Big Data. DIGIT referred to some difficulties it was having with integrating Windows products within its secure mobile solutions (MDM platform). Microsoft indicated a willingness to help. It was noted that Microsoft and DIGIT already collaborate actively on security issues. Regarding Big Data, DIGIT is interested in providing services for Big Data Analytics. 4. FOLLOW-UP Both parties agreed that regular contact should be maintained in order to resolve issues upstream and exchange information.
