Identifier: Product Title: Purpose: Format: Composition: External Dependencies: Derivation: Development Resource Estimate: Development Skills Required: Allocated To: Quality Criteria: Hosting and maintenance of Frontex Media Monitor and NewsDesk application servers The Frontex Media Monitor is a web monitoring tool that retrieves media articles based on pre-customized categories and alerts. The Newsdesk is the interconnected tool which allows users to edit and publish newsletters. Both tools were installed and are running at the Frontex server under an SLA with the JRC, signed in 2010. The purpose of this Product Description is to regulate the content and quality criteria for the maintenance and updating of both products, to be performed by the JRC throughout 2011, under a general SLA. JRC will perform the second and third line support through a lon�­ distance technical assistance, according to the response time set 1n the SLA. Eventually, for certain updates, and upon agreement between Frontex and the JRC, the updating services can be performed at Frontex premises or remotely, if those options are considered to be more effective. Frontex does not incur in any additional payment for this displacement (it is considered as part of the instalment set in the SLA . Frontex ICT assistance during update and upgrade of the FMM and NewsDesk services; Frontex ICT assistance in restoring services after unexpected systems or applications downtime; Regular delivering documentation of updating and upgrading procedures of the FMM and the Newsdesk. Euro e Media Monitor JRC has, within the Institute for the Protection and Security of the Citizen, the skilled staff to perform second and third line support to Frontex ICT. The Open Sources team (OPTIMA) is lead by Text removed - justification 1, the person in charge of managing operations within the team, in order to provide the service agreed with Frontex. Text removed - ·ustification 1 JRC The FMM and the Newsdesk servers are expected to be working continuously (on a 24 hour basis) and properly maintained according to the specifications laid out in the Service Level Agreement with the JRC for 2010. Besides the IT normal functioning of both tools, it is required that the system are working properly according to the following quality criteria: Services behind application layer are stable and resistant to any malfunctions; Memory overflow error causing obligatory systems restart is eliminated; FMM and NewsDesk log system is stable and accessible for Frontex ICT FMM - ICT Product Description.Doc 09 April 2020 3

Quality Method:

Quality criteria are considered acceptable when all features described
in the previous chapter are met and all problem solving and technical
assistance works are performed according to the convened deadline.
Quality is to be assessed by the ICT FMM Project Manager and b
