Dear European Parliament,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the following documents:

any and all:
a) Correspondence - including, but not limited to, letters, e-mails, and any attachments
b) Documents – including, but not limited to, evaluations, descriptions, briefing, notes, reports, analysis

with regards to the Parliament's Bureau meeting on MEPs spending in October resulting in allowing MEPs to spend allowing them to spend €4,778 per month as reported here https://www.politico.eu/newsletter/brussels-playbook/budget-fight-china-warns-russia-vdl-tracker/

as well as

c) all agendas of this meeting and all reports, summaries, minutes, notes, or record-keeping of any kind produced as an outcome of the Bureau's meeting.

Please also note that, in line with the European Ombudsman's decision in case 104/2020/EWM, I hereby express my wish to receive all responses and documents related to this request via this e-mail address only and not through the Frontex portal. Further to your application for public access to documents, regarding any correspondence and any documents in relation to the Bureau meeting of 17th October 2022, in which the Bureau discussed and decided on amendments to the framework of the General Expenditure Allowance, as reported on Politico's newsletter of November 7th, including any agendas, reports, summaries, minutes and notes produced as an outcome of such meeting, Parliament has identified the following documents: 1.      Agenda of the Bureau meeting of 17th October 2022, which has been published here ( https://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/organes/bureau/ordre_du_jour/2022/10-17/BUR_OJ(2022)10-17_EN.pdf ). 2.      Minutes of the Bureau meeting of 17th October 2022, publicly available here ( https://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/organes/bureau/proces_verbal/2022/10-17/BUR_PV(2022)10-17_EN.pdf ). 3.      The full text of the Bureau Decision of 17th October 2022, amending the General Expenditure Allowance framework, and specifically the relevant provisions of the Implementing Measures for the Statute for Members of the European Parliament, is currently undergoing legal-linguistic revision and will be published in the Official Journal in the coming days, shortly before 1st December 2022, date in which the new rules will enter in force. On this basis, Parliament considers your application handled and the procedure closed.
