Anfrage an: EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini

Dear EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the following documents:

For the year 2021 and 2022 to date:

- all contracts, (technical) arrangements, memorandums of understanding, or agreements signed or held by Operation Irini regarding the provision of services or support of any kind - including, but not limited to, trainings - (to be) delivered to the Libyan Navy/Coast Guard.

- all training materials – including, but not limited to, presentations, reports, guides, guidelines, handouts, and audio-visual material such as videos – created or held by Operation Irini for the purpose of training programs for Libyan Navy/Coast Guard.

Dear European Ombudsman, On 17 March 2022 I filed an access to documents request to EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini for documents regarding its cooperation with the Libyan Coast Guard/Navy. Since filing my request, I did not receive an acknowledgement of receipt nor a reference number from EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini, and therefore on 29 March 2022 I sent the mission a reminder, asking for my request to be registered and handled promptly. To date, I have not received an acknowledgement from EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini, nor has my request been registered or processed. After two months, the deadline to do so is long overdue. I am therefore hereby filing a complaint for maladministration, and calling on EUNAVFOR MED Operation Irini to register my 17 March 2022 access to documents request, and for it to be processed promptly. If you have any questions or doubts with regards to my complaint, please don't hesitate to let m know. Thank you in advance.
