Dear Mr Semsrott,
We refer to your above-referenced request for access to documents under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents (OJ L 145, 31.05.2001, pages 43).
Your request is currently being handled. However, in view of the number and nature of the requests for access to documents the Legal Service is dealing with, we will not be in a position to complete the processing of your request within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires today, 27 April 2022.
For this reason, this time-limit will be extended by 15 working days, in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, to expire on 19 May 2022.

please pass this on to the person handling confirmatory applications.
My request for "The EC Intranet page dealing with contracts that includes information on fee scales (https://myintracomm.ec.europa.eu/dg/SJ/HowWeDoIt/finances-et-contrats/Pages/Contrats.aspx, as mentioned in the GUIDE TO THE LITIGATION WORK OF THE LEGAL SERVICE)" sent on 31 March 2022 has not been handled yet.
Under 1049/2001, only "in exceptional cases, for example in the event of an application relating to a very long document or to a very large number of documents", the time-limit of 15 days may be extended *once" by 15 working days, and only if detailed reasons are given. No reasons were given. The request would have had to be responded to within 15 working days. There is no legal basis for a second extension.

We hereby acknowledge receipt of your confirmatory application for access to documents which was registered on 20/05/2022 (Ares(2022)3813635).
Your application will be handled within 15 working days (15/06/2022). In case this time limit needs to be extended, you will be informed in due course.
Please be informed that the answer to your confirmatory application is a formal Commission decision that will be notified to you by express delivery. Thank you for providing your contact phone number, so that the external delivery service can contact you in case of absence.
Please note that the Commission will not use your phone number for any other purpose than for informing the delivery service, and that it will delete it immediately thereafter.
